NIAC News March

What’s up with NIAC:

Last month was a blast we had a great turn out for our HIV 101 class at NIC, We met with NIC’s 4th year nursing students and Theresa gave a wonderful presentation on HIV, PrEP & PEP and the stigma behind HIV. If you or someone you know has HIV and they are feeling down because of the stigma please send them our way because they are always welcome here.

Just because February was a short month doesn’t mean we were short on things to do. We have reorganized the office so if you haven’t seen what we have done please come by and say hello.

The month of March will be just as busy, The MTU will be doing something a little different and we are going out at night! We will be at MIK’S 406 N 4th street on St. Patrick's Day 3/17 from 7pm to 10 pm if you need a HIV or Hep C test please come by we will be in their Parking lot.

What's some other news:

NIAC has partnered with Walgreens to bring you at home HIV screenings all you need to do is order in-home HIV test and we will send one out to you. We also have Narcan(Naloxone) there has been increase in cases of opioid overdose and Narcan can combat those overdoses.

This month registration starts for NIACs Easter Egg Hunt, This event is to bring awareness to the LGBTQ+ community and raise funds to keep NIAC able to provide HIV and Hep C screenings for free.
